“Mother of a Priest” customized amethyst rosary, Op.32

I was contacted about customizing the amethyst rosary in the shop with a modern medal called a “Mother of a Priest” medal. This is a modern medal, not available in antique or vintage medals, so I found two online and sent pictures to the customer, who chose the Bliss sterling medal. We agreed that with the Mother of a Priest medal being so large, a different Marian medal on the other side of the Marian crown would look much better; the customer asked for a sterling Miraculous Medal. Again, I was able find several antiques online and the customer chose the one with the braided swirl edging. The two medals do not match but are beautifully complementary. The rosary has 8mm variegated amethyst Aves and purple-and-white-swirl lampwork Paters set off with clear and iris-purple crystals, and a mother of pearl crucifix with a silver corpus and inscription, all joined with sterling-filled wire.

I have left the original pictures of the amethyst rosary (before customization) in the shop in case anyone is interested in the combination of amethysts and lampwork beads. I also have additional mother of pearl crucifixes as I love their soft radiance.
