Description
This rosary bracelet for an August birthday features 8mm ‘crackle peridot’ faceted beads. Since these beads came in a lot with many others, some of which were not labeled, I believe that they are not true peridot, but faux peridot glass with a heat-treated crackle inside. They are still beautiful beads, with the coveted slightly yellow-tinged green of peridots.
The Pater bead is a 10mm lampwork round of sky-blue and white-striped glass with peridot-green leafy swirls, accented and protected by 3mm white Swarovski crystal pearl and antiqued silver mini daisy spacers. The medals are antiques: a silver-plated Scapular medal (Sacred Heart on the front, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and St. Dominic on the reverse) with beautiful carved frame, and a sterling St. Joseph and Child medal with a unique frame around the icon on the front. The back has the inscription “St. Joseph Pray For Us” and the word ‘sterling’ on it.
An antiqued silver crucifix (3/4”) and a antiqued sterling silver ‘carved’ toggle complete the bracelet.
The beads and medals are fully wire-wrapped in sterling-filled wire to be unbreakable, but for safety the toggle is mounted with jump rings to break open in case of emergency.
