Description
Deep “ruby jade” faceted beads (8mm) are the Aves of this bracelet; the Pater bead is a 16x10mm lampwork rondelle of ruby glass with applied white flowers, green vines, and pale pink rosebuds. The Pater is set off and protected by silver-plated daisy spacers and 4mm pale rose Swarowski crystal pearls.
There are four vintage medals on the bracelet:
— a four-way Trinity crucifix medal with the Holy Trinity in the center surrounded by a Scapular in the upper left quadrant (Sacred Heart front, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel reverse), the Miraculous Medal in the upper right quadrant (with the reverse), St. Joseph and the Christ Child in the lower left quadrant, and St. Christopher and the Christ Child in the lower right quadrant. The lower half of the reverse reads “I am a Catholic; in case of serious accident please call a priest” and is marked “Italy”; it appears to be pewter with oxidized silver finish;
— a figural St. Michael that also appears to be pewter with oxidized silver finish (note the scales of justice in his left hand and the lowered mace in his right hand);
— a vintage aluminum St. Benedict medal with all of its traditional attributes; and
— a vintage St. Philomena medal with “St. Philomena pray for us” on the front and “St. Philomena preserve us against all sickness” on the reverse.
The bracelet is fully wire-wrapped in sterling-filled wire, including the links to the medals (i.e., they are links not jump rings and so the medals will not pull off). A custom fleur-de-lis loop of sterling wire mounted with a 4mm siam Swarowski crystal and a sterling trigger clasp (mounted with a jump ring on one end for safety) complete the bracelet.
The bracelet is 8″ long; it could be lengthened or shortened by 1/2″ and can be reconfigured to be worn on the left wrist. This bracelet is suitable for either a January or July birthstone.
