A delicate, smaller rosary with Ave beads of 6mm amethyst-colored gold-plated cathedral beads, which are Preciosa fire-polished faceted glass beads with ends carved in a fancy stair-step pattern then finished with gold foil. (They were named for their resemblance to stained glass windows in old churches.)
The Pater beads are 8x12mm clear lampwork rondelles with mauve roses over a black core accented with 4mm light amethyst crystal bicones and pearl seed beads.
The center and crucifix are new-old-stock (i.e., never before used), a gold-plated vintage set from the early 20th century. The Lourdes center has the Blessed Virgin Mary in prayer on the front and the grotto of Lourdes on the reverse, while the crucifix features hearts radiating from the Corpus and is marked ‘Lourdes’ on the reverse; there is room on the reverse for engraving.
The rosary is fully wire-wrapped with 14/20 (14K) gold-filled wire. This is a beautiful lightweight rosary with an unusual February birthstone in crystal, perfect for carrying in a purse.
