Description
This rosary bracelet would make a wonderful present for a children’s catechist, youth worker, or prayer warrior who intercedes for the conversion and safety of children or for the unborn. It features 8mm white shell pearls as the Ave beads and a 12mm sky-blue lampwork heart bead with pink rosebuds and leaves as the Pater bead, which is accented with a Swarovski crystal pearl in white and protected by antiqued silver-plated mini-daisy spacers and silver-lined seed beads.
The vintage medals on this bracelet are aluminum—lightweight but with great detail. The first one is an oval Miraculous Medal. The second one is unusual: it is a Holy Childhood medal. The front has an image of Christ as a boy, with the cruciform halo around His Head, His right hand pointing to God the Father in Heaven, and His left hand pointing to an image of the Blessed Sacrament in a monstrance superimposed on His chest. The Latin inscription reads: Sinite parvulos venire ad me Sancta Infantia (Let the children come unto Me, the Holy Child). The reverse depicts the adult Christ welcoming four children in various types of dress, between palm trees and a pagoda, representing Christ calling all as children from the ends of the earth. The same inscription is on the reverse. This medal shows a bit of wear, as if it has been handled during prayer for many years.
An antiqued silver crucifix (3/4”) and a sterling silver toggle with a rose on the circular half complete the bracelet.
The beads and medals are fully wire-wrapped in sterling-filled wire to be unbreakable, but for safety the toggle is mounted with jump rings to break open in case of emergency.
Pearls are one of the birthstones for June.
