(SOLD.  Topaz Preciosa crystals are in stock for bracelets or rosaries, and other St. Anthony medals are available–please enquire.)

This November birthstone rosary bracelet features two vintage medals.  The first one is a ‘charm medal’ that has a ‘harlequin glass opal’ from the mid-20th century in a silver bezel frame with three-lobed flowers and swirls on the front, with the front of a Miraculous Medal on the reverse.  The St. Anthony miniature medal has the icon of St. Anthony holding the Christ Child on the front, while the reverse has a tiny square relic (most likely a piece of pure linen) sealed under glass with red wax with the inscription Tela Toccata Alla S Lingue del Santo Padova (‘cloth touched to the Sacred Tongue of the Saint of Padua’, i.e. a relic created by touching the cloth to the reliquary containing the incorrupt tongue of St. Anthony, which would be a third-class relic). Both medals appear to be silver-plated and have some patina.

Because I wanted the interesting and striking medals to stand out, I used 8mm honey topaz Preciosa crystal beads for both the Aves and the Paters, setting off the Pater with silver-plated miniature hearts with dotted/ribbed edges. I closed it with a silver-plated toggle with the same dotted detail as the hearts and tri-lobed flowers as on the opal’s bezel, and finished with a reproduction crucifix in a complimentary style.

Sterling-silver-filled wire is used throughout for the wire-wrapped links (including those attaching the medals and crucifix to the bracelet), and the toggle is connected with sterling jump rings.

This bracelet is 7 1/2″ long (standard adult female wrist size). It could be shortened by approximately 5/8″ if necessary.
